The University Library is a place where you can find all the materials you need for studying, preparing classes, wrirting articles and conducting scientific researches. It offers both traditional (printed) collections and electronic resources – including access to databases of books and journals.

Special Collections
The University Library in Toruń also holds special collections, materials of exceptional value that, due to their age or form of publication, are available for use only on‑site in the Special Collections Reading Room.
These collections include:
Manuscripts
This collection comprises medieval manuscripts (issued up to 1520), modern manuscripts (1521-1800), and contemporary ones. Among them are, for example, the legacies of our University’s professors and unpublished doctoral dissertations defended at NCU.
Graphic Documents
This collection holds original graphics and iconographic artwork, bookplates, old postcards, posters, art photography, painting and drawing, as well as printed matter on exhibitions and artistic activities in Poland, especially Toruń (folders and exhibition catalogues).
Music Documents
This collection contains musical scores such as music manuscripts, musical prints, including old prints, as well as audio and audiovisual documents available on various media.
Cartographic Documents
This collection includes maps, atlases, globes, books, and periodicals on the history and theory of cartography.
Social Life Documents
Ephemera such as leaflets, invitations, folders, brochures.
Iconographic documents such as fotographs, stamps, stickers.
Audiovisual documents such as films and sound recordings.
Artefacts
Old Prints
Books printed from the invention of the printing press in the 15th century up to the end of the 18th century.
