Springer Open Publication Program 2025
On April 28, the Springer Open Publication Program was opened under the national license with a pool of 1,378 articles for 2025 for all institutions participating in the license.
The program allows UMK employees and authors affiliated with UMK to publish free of charge in the OA mode. The publisher does not provide for the possibility of retroactive articles, the program can only cover articles accepted for publication after the program has been launched. Using OA publishing requires completing the final settlement form sent by the editorial office after the positive conclusion of the review stage. The costs of publishing articles under the program are covered by the Springer national license fee from funds from the Ministry of Education and Science.
The program allows for the publication of open articles under the CC-BY license (or possibly CC-BY-NC at the special request of the author) in Springer hybrid journals.
The program does not include BioMed Central and SpringerOpen journals. The program includes OriginalPaper, ReviewPaper, BriefCommunication and ContinuingEducation articles. The program does not include EditorialNotes, News, Letters.
