Rules for University Library’s Collections Circulation
The resources and services of the Library are available to NCU students, staff and external users.
- Your student ID card and Mobile Student ID also serve as your library card, allowing you to borrow books and use the Library’s resources.
- You may borrow books published from 1960 onwards for home use. Older publications are available for on‑site use only – in the Main Reading Room or the Special Collections Reading Room.
- Journals are available for on‑site use only, in the indicated reading rooms.

Lost or damaged books
If a borrowed book is lost or damaged, the user is required to replace it with an identical copy – in the same or a newer edition. If replacement is not possible, a fee equal to the assessed value of the item must be paid. Detailed information about this procedure, valuation and payment to the Library’s bank account is available at the Loan Desk.
