Oxford University Press Open Publishing Program 2026
Oxford University Press open publishing programme available in 2026
The OUP Open Publishing Program is intended for corresponding authors affiliated with Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK). The program is available within the OUP national consortium, coordinated by the ICM UW. UMK is a member of the OUP consortium.
The agreement provides for free publication by authors affiliated with the Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK) for an unlimited number of articles accepted for publication in the current year. The program allows authors affiliated with UMK to publish free of charge in the OA mode. Publishing under the program means that the APC fee is covered by the license fee.
The program only covers hybrid journals from the list of journals with a "Yes" in column C (361 titles).
The publisher anticipates that articles published in the subscription model during the suspension of the program may be converted to an open model.
Using an OA publication requires filling in a settlement form sent by the editors after the positive completion of the review stage. Using the open articles program will only cover those articles for which the settlement form was filled in after the date of launch of the OA program. The author of an article accepted for publication should fill in the online form in accordance with the publisher's instructions and provide the UMK affiliation in the form, which will then be verified by the publisher. It is recommended that the corresponding author use an email address from the UMK domain, which will facilitate verification.
The OUP scheme does not cover fully OA titles, but corresponding authors can benefit from a 10% discount on the APC for these journals.
