Do employees have to submit every copy of their publications?

NCU employees have to deliver publications starting from the first year of their employment at the university.
According to Ordinance of the Honorable NCU Rector from 9.09.2010 the duty of delivering the photocopied publications
concerns the literary output published since 2005 affiliated by NCU – including ones that were already uploaded
into NCU Research Portal or publications stored in the University Library’s collections.
Only by providing photocopies, one may get a rating visible on the portal.
People employed after 2005 should deliver photocopies of their publications created
from the start of their doctoral studies at NCU and their employment at the university.

How to submit multiauthor publications?

In case of the publication having more than one author or editor, just one photocopy is needed.

Is every publication transferred to NCU Research Portal (Omega)?

Each and every publication submitted by employees to bibliometrics department is transferred to NCU Research Portal and rated. If the database (Omega) lacks a certain publication, it means that a photocopy has not been delivered to our department. Publications created out of the employment time will not be transferred to Omega database.

Parametrical analysis of employee’s scientific output

The photocopy of publications and a list of publications are needed for the analysis of employee’s scientific output. Our database will be checked according to the delivered list for any missing photocopies. Demand for parametrical analysis needs to be reported 3 weeks in advance.

According to Rector’s Ordinance, analysis is mandatory in case of applying for an academic title conferment procedure, as well as employment elongation, granting awards, applying for grants and sabbatical leave, applying for a promotion.

Main NCU Library is grateful for every book donated by authors and editors of monographs to the library’s collections.
