The woman who told the world about independent Poland - exhibition
The woman who told the world about independent Poland is the title of a documentary exhibition dedicated to Kazimiera Iłłakowiczówna – a Polish poet, prose writer, playwright and translator, one of the most prominent figures of Warsaw's literary life in the interwar period, as well as Józef Piłsudski's personal secretary at the Ministry of Military Affairs. Her collaboration with the Marshal was also reflected in her poetry: The Lithuanian dictionary. Poetry and Poems about Marshal Piłsudski (1936) and her memoirs entitled The Path Next to the Road (1939).
The exhibition will be presented until September 14 at the NCU University Library on the 1st floor. Its author is Prof. Iryna Matiash from the Special Collections Department of the University Library, a scholarship holder of the POLONISTA NAWA programme.
We encourage you to visit the exhibition.
