On April 28, the Springer Open Publishing Program was launched with a pool of 1,378 articles for 2025. The publisher does not provide for the possibility of retroactive articles, the program can only cover articles accepted for publication after the program is launched. The program allows authors affiliated with Polish academic institutions to publish open articles in hybrid Springer journals.

The Taylor&Francis Open Publishing Program is expected to launch around April 30, and Elsevier Publishing plans to launch the program on May 6, 2025.
