Not only Zamoyski. Polish people of Padua and their coats of arms - an exhibition of the Polonika Institute

Not only Zamoyski. Polish people of Padua and their coats of arms is the title of the exhibition of the Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad, Polonica, presented on the second floor of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Library until February 15 this year. It presents the profiles and coats of arms of selected ten representatives of the Polish-Lithuanian intellectual student elite, including: Krzysztof Opaliński, Paweł Potocki, Zbigniew Ossoliński and Bogusław Leszczyński.

The evidence of the presence of Poles from the times of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at this unique university is the Padua Record of the Polish Nation - a book in which members of the student organization called the Polish nation, founded in 1592, were entered.

Among the decorative, poetic dedications, the exhibition also presents elaborate heraldic compositions, which are true works of art.
