Program of the Workshop:
An international research team would undertake a discussion on creating a definition, a classification and periodization, an assessment, and provide the description on the role and importance of the East-West emigration in the XX century European history, on the background of the totalitarian regimes in the Eastern European countries. First of all the objective of the above mentioned international and interdisciplinary research team would be to determine the methodology of the phenomena "East-European Emigration" studies, to discuss the sources as well as to define the research problems resulted, among others, from language and cultural barriers, different historical experiences, political prejudices - i.e. other understanding and judgement of the events.
